Outfitting a Suburban Home with Various Safety Products

In early 2014, Handi-Ramp received a call from a homeowner requesting a ramp, double bar handrails, some threshold ramps, and grab bars to be installed for the homeowner’s 80-year-old-mother.  The home, which was purchased just a month prior, did not meet the homeowner’s safety requirements.

To make the mother’s daily routine easier, the Handi-Ramp crew manufactured a 17’ ramp in the garage with double bar handrails, making it safer to access her vehicle or other items stored there.  The handrails provide support while walking up and down, and prevent someone from falling off injuring themselves.

In addition, 40” wide beveled rubber threshold ramps were placed at the home’s two entrance ways, allowing the mother to use her walker while entering or exiting the home.  The threshold ramps are made with grooves offering unique traction despite the weather conditions outside.

Lastly, the homeowner installed several grab bars adjacent to the toilet and two more in the tub allowing for safe, easy transition from the bathroom floor to the often slippery tub.  The grab bars are designed with safety first in mind, and add a clean look to any bathroom.

Since installing the various safety products, the homeowner happily informed us that her mother is quite happy with the solutions we were able to offer her and has yet to fall or injure herself.
