Truncated Domes from Handi-Ramp are a unique aluminum, surface applied tile, designed for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirement for a tactile warning system for the blind and visually impaired. Tiles are a permanent surface applied system that can be installed directly to retrofit surfaces or used in new construction. Each tile is a single piece, molded in resilient aluminum and is available in aluminum silver or powder-coated in highly visible safety yellow for superior color contrast. Each tile provides long-term durability and slightly raised plateaus on each dome provide superior slip resistance. Tiles are available in either silver or powder-coated safety yellow for superior color contrast, in sizes of either 24″ x 24″ or 24″ x 48″, and can be purchased as either single tiles or boxes of 10 tiles. Custom colors and sizes are available!

Tiles work best on flat surfaces, but their semi-rigid composition can also accommodate slight surface irregularities, allowing for optimal application. The total square foot cost of materials and labor for Handi Detectable Warning Tiles is significantly less than other products because of its ease of application, compact shipping dimensions and unique aluminum construction.

No significant preparation of the surface area is necessary other than proper cleaning. The application is achieved without the need for specialized labor or machinery. It is therefore not labor intensive and not costly to apply. Strategically placed fastener hole locations enhance proper placement and provide easier installation.
