For those unaware of where to begin, consider this: did you know that many automobile manufacturers offer mobility programs established to provide cash reimbursements for the installation of adaptive equipment in any new vehicle purchase or lease? It’s true!
But first, what is adaptive and mobility equipment?
Adaptive devices are those that assist with daily living and whose design assists the user with being more independent. Driving is an important part of our daily activities. Adaptive equipment for the vehicle assists in making the driver more independent. Adapting a vehicle for accessibility is a permanent change. Handi-Ramp Specializes in Custom Van Ramps and Wheelchair Hitch Carriers
Handi-Ramp specializes in the custom van ramps where the ramp is attached at the back or side of the vehicle. We also sell wheelchair hitch carriers that are attached to the back of the vehicle and allow you to transport a scooter. This equipment is eligible for a reimbursement from automobile manufacturers.

Please contact the Ford Mobility Motoring Customer Care Center at 1-800-952-2248. Financial assistance for installation of adaptive equipment on a new Ford, Lincoln or Mercury vehicle is offered.

Jaguar Mobility Program

Please call Lexus Customer Satisfaction at 1-800-255-3987 or 1-800-443-4999 (TDD). The Lexus Mobility Program applies to all purchased or leased new 2001 and later Lexus vehicles. Leased vehicles require advance written approval from the lessor in order to make adaptive alterations.
Please contact the Toyota Customer Assistance Center at 1-800-331-4331 about the Toyota Mobility Program to install adaptive equipment. A tow package is required to be purchased with this adaptive reimbursement package with these vehicles.
