Who do you call if your municipal building (circa early 1900’s) is in need of a new ramp that needs to reach a height of over 12 feet, encompasses over 120 feet of actual ramp surface and meets all ADA requirements?
Did I mention that this municipal building was located in Oregon requiring the ramp to meet or exceed all applicable state and earthquake resistant properties?
Of course the answer to the above question is Handi-Ramp.
Our ramp experts worked closely with city engineers, federal overseers and city officials to shape the project over a number of months and ensure the scope was followed.
No details were too small, and no questions went unanswered. From the initial concept, drawings were produced, reviewed and ultimately approved by all parties involved to begin the fabrication of this truly one of a kind ramp. At every step of the fabrication process our chief engineer worked closely with the fabrication team to insure that everything was exactly as designed. It wasn’t enough that the ramp would meet all design and building guidelines, but of course it had to be esthetically pleasing and fit well with the structure. Our fabrication team worked closely with city officials to find a powder coat color that blended perfectly with the building.
Finally the time for installation arrived. As part of the total service that Handi-Ramp provides, the chief installer flew to Oregon and while working closely with the contractor, had the ramp installed and ready for use in just two days. The timing was perfect because a City Council meeting was scheduled that day, allowing members to see firsthand what they had approved.
The overwhelming comments received by the city manager were extremely positive. Everyone involved was quite pleased with not only the functionality of the ramp but also how well it blended with the building and their city.
So whether your custom ramp requirements are as complex as this story or just a few feet of ramp, Handi-Ramp is ready to give you the full benefit of its 54+ years of ramp making expertise.
