Your aluminum yard ramp rental will arrive stacked one or more a pallets. Before beginning installation, ensure that you have the following items:

Parts Included:

  • 8 ramp sections
  • 6 steel rods with 6 R-clips
  • 6 support stands (2 large, 2 medium, and 2 small)
  • 6 stand pins with 6 R-clips
  • 3 upper cross-member bars
  • 3 tie bars
  • 2 ratchet straps

At least two people are needed for the safe installation of the ramp.

Installation Instructions

  1. Start by setting up the support stands. Insert the tie bar at the bottom of the support stands. The upper cross-member bar will fit into the top of each pair of support stands. Remove the pin from the support stand and slide the cross-member bar down into the open slots. The cross-member bar can be adjusted higher or lower depending on how tall you need your ramp to be. Reinsert the stand pin through the support stand and one of the predrilled holes on the cross-member bar. Do this for all three sets of support stands.
  1. Next, ensure that the support stands are properly spaced apart. The largest stand should be about 83” from the trailer or dock, the middle stand about 105” from the tallest, and the shortest stand about 104” from the middle stand.
  1. Start at the top of the ramp to begin installing the ramp sections. Fit the upper ramp sections one at a time into the cross-member bar with the lip resting on the dock or trailer. Secure the ramp sections to the support stand by inserting the steel rod through the hole where the ramp and support stand connect. Secure the rod with an R-clip.
  1. For the four middle ramp sections, the top and bottom edges will each rest on a support stand. Secure these ramp sections with steel rods and R-clips.
  1. For the bottom ramp sections, the top of the ramp section will rest on the shortest support stand and the bottom edge of the ramp section will rest on the ground. Secure this section with a steel rod and R-clip.
  1. Use a ratchet strap on either side of the ramp to secure the ramp to the dock or trailer.
  1. The installation of your Aluminum Yard Ramp is now complete!

To take down the ramp, start by removing the ratchet straps. Then, remove the steel rods and pins so the ramp sections can be removed and stacked. Remove the cross-member bar and tie bar from the support stands. The ramp sections will stack neatly on a pallet with the additional parts resting on top.
